A mid-March McKinsey global survey of executives found that while fewer than 1/3 expect an economic upturn this year, the percentage of the executives who say economic conditions have gotten worse hasn't increased.
In fact, some results show signs of hope. While only 14% of respondents expect their countries' economic conditions to improve in the first half of 2009, that's more than twice the percentage that, back in January, expected an improvement. (1,630 executives across a range of global regions, industries, and function specialties were surveyed.) Source: Economic Conditions Snapshot, March 2009: McKinsey Global Survey Results
