I spent 10 years climbing the corporate ladder with a career in marketing that covered most business sectors including manufacturing, retail, public sector and a membership organisation.
Following the birth of my second child I decided I needed to make some major life changes. I cut several inches off my hair and dyed it, and although it changed the way the world saw me, it didn’t change the way I saw the world. So I took the plunge and launched my own venture,
bright angels.
I’ve worked in the accounting profession for three years and I am an Associate member of the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers. I've spent most of my career as a senior Marketing Manager where I’ve gain an understanding of all areas of business operations. My other roles include Acting Operations Director, as well as managing a finance department and Chief Executive’s office during periods of absence for a government organisation. Whilst at university I supported myself by working in the family retail business where I was involved in bookkeeping, marketing and stock control.
bright angels is all about ‘being of service’, being ‘true to yourself’ and acting with honesty, integrity and passion. I find it personally rewarding to use my skills, knowledge and contacts to help others achieve their goals.
My other passion is my family. In what spare time I do have I love to run, anything from 5ks to half marathons, and I’m a serial fundraiser for Cancer Research UK and BLISS, the premature baby charity. I also love to ski and I’m a volunteer photographer for the Milton Keynes Parks Trust charity.
Kevin likes to think he's the brains behind
bright angels, but in truth he's just the website developer. He works a full time job with a large IT Services company, specializing in Security Project Management.
He hankers back to his younger days when he used to be a systems analyst / developer, hence the desire to develop website design skills. However, he also likes to believe he is not a complete geek, and so uses a development toolkit which allows focus on the stylish presentation of quality content, instead of long dark nights of researching technical forums.
bright angels web design is therefore a start-up business line for bright angels, that is targetting development of Joomla based websites for not-for- profit organisations, small businesses and individuals, on what Americans call a "pro-bono" basis.
In his spare time Kevin likes to sleep, but whilst awake shares many interests with Kassia, such as running, skiing, photography and child development.
